Pediatric dentistry is the branch of Dentistry that is responsible for the study, diagnosis and treatment of children’s teeth. Oral health, the correct development of the mouth and the eruption of milk teeth are part of the general health of the child.

From birth, the oral cavity must be explored to detect possible abnormalities. If there are no alterations, a good time would be when the teeth begin to emerge (6 months to 1 year).

Sealants

Sealing is a treatment belonging to preventive dentistry that consists of filling fissures or small cavities in the posterior teeth, where caries tends to develop more frequently.

Fluoridation: consists of the topical application of gels and varnishes, with a high concentration of fluoride on the teeth and molars that provide protection to the enamel for a long time.

Both treatments are included free of charge within the Andalusian Regional Government Dental Assistance Program, to which Centro Dental Salvador García is attached.
